50 Best Law Firms for Women 2016 Announced!

This week, the 2016 Working Mother & Flex-Time Lawyers Best Law Firms for Women list was released. For the past nine years, the list has recognized those law firms leading the industry in helping to advance and support the careers of women lawyers. Law firms around the country are selected after completing an application that includes more than 300 questions about workforce representation, time-off and leave, childcare, flexibility, percent of women in leadership, compensation and advancement of women, and development and retention of women. Among the firms listed, women account for 20 percent of all equity partners and hold 25 percent of the seats on executive and finance committees. Factors considered included advancing women in business and career advancement, while offering flexible work arrangements, generous paid parental leave, among other important benefits.

On September 21, those law firms that received the best law firms for women honor will be recognized in Chicago at the Working Mother/Flex-Time Lawyers Gala Awards Luncheon. The event will host approximately 200 attorneys and legal professionals from around the country. Additionally, general counsel from the Working Mother Best Companies list will also be in attendance.
